Weekly/biweekly personal advising and mentoring with a practical focus, tailored to the schedules of managers and internal sustainability experts, in order to enable those in charge of sustainability issues to perform their tasks more effectively.

Our aim is to provide participants in the programme with management and professional knowledge that can be put into practice immediately.

We usually recommend mentoring in three, often simultaneous, cases:

I. Recently established sustainability organisation

One case is when the sustainability organisation is new, or the colleagues come from a different area and are new to this field. In such situations, the focus of mentoring is on developing knowledge, skills, potential and confidence, as well as supporting the successful launch of the organisation. In this case, knowledge transfer and support for real workplace tasks and problems take place in parallel, depending on the professional skills and tasks of the mentees, as well as the objectives of the organisation.

  • The link between sustainability and the ESG approach, as well as an overview of its aspects
  • Detailed exploration and understanding of ESG
  • Practical steps to be taken: sustainability strategy, action plan, annual report, KPIs

We demonstrate how to measure and manage ESG, how to spread the ESG approach in the organisation, how to build a strategy/action plan, and how to implement it successfully.

II. In case of sustainability organisations facing bigger challenges or having a smaller number of staff

Sustainability organisations, especially at large companies, face very fast-changing and complex regulatory compliance requirements, while usually operating with a small staff. In such cases, mentoring aims to support the sustainability or ESG manager/responsible person’s professional preparedness and effectiveness, provide an external perspective on the performance of their tasks, and ensure the quality of the material produced by them, if required. Involvement in professional communities, depending on the objectives of the organisation and the mentees.

  • Ongoing knowledge transfer along current themes
  • Expanding the professional network

III. Developing an ESG mindset

We offer this service to executives, finance colleagues and management members of medium and large companies, and to those who care about sustainable financial services and want to take the first step with their company on the path towards sustainability.

ESG mentoring will bring new, value-creating perspectives into the thinking of engaged colleagues, improve stakeholder relationships and help spread sustainable thinking throughout the company.

Other benefits of ESG mentoring

Increased ESG awareness: a key benefit of executive mentoring is its ability to break down traditional hierarchical barriers, encouraging the creation of a more inclusive and diverse environment. Through these mentoring relationships, participants (including senior managers) can gain a deeper understanding of the social and cultural factors affecting ESG performance and adopt more effective strategies to address them.

Enhanced innovation: mentoring fosters a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, as well as takes the effectiveness of ESG initiatives to new heights. Bringing in an external perspective, leveraging their perspectives and experience can open up previously unexplored avenues for ESG innovation, encouraging valuable initiatives that have not yet been announced.

Talent management: mentoring can help identify high-potential younger employees who may be suitable for leadership roles in the future. This can create a strong commitment toward the organisation and ensure continuity of ESG initiatives in the long term.
