We help you prepare to use the NAV eVAT system even if your company’s accounting or enterprise resource planning system does not support a direct machine-to-machine (M2M) data connection. Our tax and technology experts use the data available from your existing system to establish the steps for generating and processing VAT analytics.
The NAV eVAT Tool is an application published by the Hungarian National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) that supports importing data prepared in a standard Excel template, performing technical checks and creating the export files required to use eVAT.
Who is our service for?
Primarily, companies that would like to use the eVAT system but whose existing software does not have a direct M2M connection. Our service also helps companies that want to generate the VAT analytics required by NAV from their accounting data regularly, following the same steps each time.
What does our service include?
- Preparation for use: we demonstrate how the NAV eVAT Tool works and introduce the associated Excel template, then identify the worksheets and data fields required for your company.
- Data mapping: we map the relationships between source data and the fields required by NAV, identifying missing data and data that needs to be transformed.
- Compiling and testing VAT analytics: we support the preparation of the Excel file, test it in the Tool and help interpret validation messages. Where necessary, we use Excel functions or simple scripts to make data transformation easier.
- Documentation and knowledge transfer: we document data mappings, transformation rules and common potential errors.
Our goal is to enable your staff to independently generate and process the required files for each VAT return period following implementation. In addition to technical checks, the data must still be reviewed from a tax perspective.
